THREE ARTISTS... THREE UNIQUE VISIONS

Linda Chong Haber has a very active retirement life as a city-appointed member of the Long Beach Advisory Board for the Aging. In addition to being Program Chairperson of the Program Advisory Committee at the Magnolia Senior Center, she volunteers her technical skills to the Long Beach Island Landmarks Association and the West End Arts Guild. In her spare time Linda enjoys her hobby, digital photographic art. Using a SONY Mavica digital camera, Linda photographs moments of everyday life to record the beauty of nature and the joy of living. She uses photo-editing software on the computer to enhance and transform her snapshots into vibrant and eye-catching works of art. Linda is excited about the limitless possibilities that digital imaging technology has afforded the medium of photography.

Michael McLaughlin was born and raised in Long Beach, New York. He is an award winning artist, recognized for his work of the Southwest, animals and the beauty of nature. He is a member of the West End Arts League, Artist in Partnership of Long Beach and the Professional Artist Program of National Fine Arts Registry. Michael's work reflects his love and appreciation of marine life and our natural surroundings. After traveling to the Southwest in 1993, Michael was inspired by the majestic landscape and local Native American culture of New Mexico and Arizona. He resides in Long Beach, N.Y. As well as Cochiti Lake, N.M. Where he has a studio and his work is on display. He will be currently showing his work at the Long Beach Public Library for the month of August, the 2007 New Mexico State Fair, as well the Long Beach Business community continues to show their support by displaying many of his creations.

Janet McLaughlin is currently exhibiting her work at the Long Beach Library who hosts different artists every month. It is through the West End Arts Association that Janet and two other artists were chosen to display their work for the month of August. Janet loves the time of day when she gets to sit at her machine and create magnificent quilts. She has been quilting for 24 years and keeps up with new techniques through her quilting guild, the Long Island Quilter's Society, who meet once a month. She plans to show her work at several craft shows beginning in September and ending in December through DePasquale Enterprises who's schedule can be seen on their website at www.depasqualeshows.com
