"EGYPT THROUGH MY EYES" AND
"GARDEN IN ITS GLORY"
Exhibit at the LB Senior Center
Jennifer Aly began her
professional photography career two years ago. Being a visual person
she found herself seeing a picture in many things as she walked through
life. As a young girl she would squint, frame it with her hands and
wish she could capture it.
Her educational background in photography was a class to introduce
her to F-stops and basic knowledge of the camera functions when she
received her first SLR in 2000. She has an Associate degree in Communications
Media Arts graduating in 1999 from
Nassau Community College.
The goal of Jennifer’s life and work is to motivate and encourage
people to see the beauty our world has to offer. She hopes to show
this through her collection of prints called “Egypt through
my Eyes”. A collection done while living in Cairo. In addition,
she also takes pride in finding wonderful visuals in the streets of
NYC, local gardens and attractions. Jennifer also offers children
portraits at customer’s homes, making new mothers and/or kids
more comfortable. Another option offered is “destination photography”
for those interested in different backdrops such as the beach or a
park.
Currently she is an active member of West End Arts. This organization
consists of local artists that work together to bring art to the community.
WEA has given Jennifer the opportunity to successfully auction off
two pieces of her work at the Silent Action fundraiser this year.
Currently and until the first week of October she will be exhibiting
at Long Beach’s Senior/Community Center on Magnolia Blvd in
Long Beach. This will be leading up to the anticipated Colors of Long
Beach, an Art Expo on October 7th being held at the center.
