Bill Feig is a professional photographer based in Long Beach, New York for more than 30 years. He began his professional career in the early 1970's in the highly technical area of medical and scientific photography working for such institutions as Cornell University Medical Center and St. Vincent’s Medical Center both in New York City. His work in this area has been published extensively in medical books and journals.

During those years he also studied the creative aspects of photography and art at the School of Visual Arts, the New School for Social Research and Parsons School of Design.

With the advent of digital photography and the rapid acceptability of that media he has developed a strong love and flair for color and form, sometimes pushing the boundaries to the limit. An admirer of such artists as Peter Max, Andy Warhole, Alphonse Mucha and Georgia O’keeffe and photographers Richard Avedon, Ansel Adams, Imogen Cunningham, and Alfred Stieglitz, he combines his extensive technical knowledge and creative eye to explore those styles, creating his own place in the world of “Photography as Art"

A fan and practitioner of both film and digital photography he is deeply immersed in a long list of projects that incorporate both mediums, separately and together and finds the excitement of new doors opening with each project to be the driving force for his love of photography.

Bill is a member of West End Arts Visual Artists Guild and Long Beach Art League and will be showing some of his work at the Community Center in Long Beach on Magnolia Blvd beginning January 12, 2009 in the upstairs gallery.
