OUR MISSION:
 
To encourage the creation and development of the visual arts through education and cultural development. We serve the regional interest and communities of western Long Island and the public at large.
 
 
OUR HISTORY:
 

WEST END ARTS, Visual Artists Guild began as an informal gathering in October 2003 in East Atlantic Beach at Alison Gilberts home. There were about one dozen people in attendance. Attendees were Karen O'Neill,
Robert Shanley, Alison Gilbert, Mary Blair, Pat Walsh, George Mallis, Larry Ruderman, Carol Spigner, Elizabeth Connelly, Clementine Judge and Kathleen Regan. Our membership has grown to an enrollment of over 140 artists. We incorporated in 2005 and received our 501(c)3, non-profit status in 2007.
