Fun was had by all at the last West End Arts Friday night meeting Nov 4. The guest speakers , Alexandra Karafinas and Barry Riverdue showed the second video created of the Long Island Artists Habitat. Featured in this video were three West End Art members; Alison Gilbert, decorative painter, Brunie Feleciano, painter, and Waltraud Achmueller painter and collagist. We were delighted and proud to see our members featured in this great contribution to Long Island Art History. The LI Artists Habitat features LI artists in their homes expressing their thoughts, philosophies and feelings about their art and the art process. The video project is being shown all over Long Island in libraries and non-profit organizations. The LIAH Project is hoping to be featured on PBS in the near future. It is a great opportunity for artists to get exposed and share their work with the public. West End Art members have been invited to participate in this unique and unprecedented valuable video project.
