MEMBER PROFILE:
I create sculpture in fire clay such as porcelain, stoneware and earthenware. Occasionally from these original sculptures, a limited number of castings are made using any number of mediums including bonded bronze.
I love living by the sea and I am obsessed with fishing. Currently I
am building a body of work of nautical themes. This consists of large
ocean predators like sharks and billfish. It also contains elements
of men that work the sea from small boats.
My sculpture has won numerous awards and best in show honors. It has
also appeared in the pages of "Breakthrough" magazine as well
as "Popular Ceramics." Both magazines had published articles
written by me about my sculpting and casting techniques. My work was
also selected for inclusion in a TV show called "Originals"
which focused on the art of five of Long Island's emerging artist's.
